After partying it up with Gracie and her friends for her 12th birthday, see post here, and then two days later partying it up with Zac and his buddies at Laser Mania (previous post), we were ready to party as a family. Every other year we do a friend party, this was the year. But we can’t miss out on the family gifts, birthday dinner, etc. Grace and Zac share the exact same birthday – August 28th. Big day around our house!
The day started out with our typical birthday traditions. The birthday chairs were decorated, birthday mini-poster/placemat made, cinnamon rolls cooking, fresh fruit and the whole family there (missing B & A!). It was an early start, 6:50am!! We had to get things rolling, school was calling!
Grace is the first one to leave for school (7:20am), so she’s the only one (so far) all ready to go! Happy 12th birthday Grace! Happy 9th birthday Zac! Some birthday lovin’ from your big brother is always a must!! GO BYU!! Grace was excited for the new light blue converse that Lex and Brian bought for her! Zac was really ready to be 9! He also loved that he got to wear the Laser Mania shirt that he got he previous day at his friend party! Photoshoot!! That night was present time! Zac and Grace have their own little tradition that they give each other the present from themselves and open them at the same time! This is after the yummy birthday dinner they always choose, Navajo Tacos. Mmmmmmm! New soccer balls are always great! I had to take a picture of Erin’s “persian rug”. All the bracelets she made this summer are STILL on her wrist and they look like a persian rug. Ha. Love you Erin!! Grace and all of her birthday treasures. Lucky girl! (not sure why we don’t have one of these pics for Zac! He must have ran off to play with his new stuff / build Lego sets!!!)
Happy birthday Grace and Zac. We are soooooooooooo thankful that you joined our family and that you are such happy, sweet, cheerful kids. We are blessed beyond measure to have you in our lives. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
(and many m-o-r-e!!)
