In honors of Mothers day....my first born!

“Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things.
Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight.
Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face
‘Accentuate the positive.’ Look a little deeper for the good.
Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face,
with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.”
 –Gordon B. Hinckley

A lot of you in the blogging world have come to know my daughter Alexa
Or at least know a little bit about her. There's a lot to this kid! She is amazing, kind, loving, creative, would give the shirt off her back to absolutely anyone, is friends to anyone and everyone, has a very sensitive side, has a very strong spirit, loves deeply, loves life, loves her darling little family, and is a huge part of our family. Each of our children are such a huge part of our family.
The quote above explains Alexa P E R F E C T L Y.

Some may think, Oh she only blogs about the good or She must never have a bad day or
She is just too perfect or It would be nice if ...etc, etc, etc.....

To that I say, read the quote above again. Alexa lives that quote to the T. She has since she was a little girl. She has always looked for the best in everyone and everything. She has always put on a happy face in the midst of adversity. She has a gift of looking for the best in every situation she encounters. She held her head high through the trenches of high school and teenage years. She has had her fair share of tough days, adversity, and tears - yet she does just as it says above....she looks a little deeper for the good, has a twinkle in her eye, and puts a smile on her face, she fakes it til she makes it on those bad days, she loves life with a strong and loving purpose.

Those of you who KNOW Alexa, know exactly what I am talking about.

Thank you Lex for your amazing spirit, your great talent of being positive, happy, and full of sunshine. You continue to light up any room you walk in to. Your laughter is contagious (pretty sure that's why miss Ellie has such a great laugh!) Thank you for being that bright light that attracted such an amazing man into your life!! Thank you for the example that you are to me, dad, your brothers and sisters. Thank you for being YOU!!! I will always remember the day you made me a mom and I will cherish it and you forever.
