I’m a Mormon

I loved this video (thanks Christa for sharing!). Spencer will be 18 this September, which means by the time he graduates next May he will be preparing his mission papers, sending them in, and receiving a letter / packet of where he will serve his mission for the next two years. He could leave any time next summer or fall. Whenever and wherever they need him. I am SO excited for him! Oh yes, it will be so hard to send him away for two years, but I’m certain that the experiences he will have and the blessings that we all will receive will be innumerable!! Watch this inspirational video about a young mans’ choice to serve a mission, you won’t regret it. (plus it’s only two min!)

One of the many blessings in this life is our freedom to choose. Our loving Heavenly Father gave each of us that gift. We can choose for ourselves! http://mormon.org/choice/ I am so thankful for that!!

I am SOOO thankful to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father, for his son Jesus Christ and for the gift of the Holy Ghost – who can help lead and direct us on this earth life. (you know that “fuzzy” feeling when you know something is right?, or the “tingling” feeling you get when you are spiritually touched by something (it could be a movie, song or passage from a book…that feeling that tells your soul “I know that! That feels right, true!”), or that little, tiny, quiet voice that whispers something to you (seriously! I’m not crazy! It’s how I landed a brand new washing machine at a thrift store for $50! that “little voice” said, “hey stop there” (the thrift store I was passing). I didn’t listen at first, I had other errands to do. On my way home, I decided to stop and boy was I glad that I did….I found a new washing machine, and those of you who know me super well, knew I had been struggling with a bum washing machine and praying for help in getting one for over 5 months!!) and all of the “coincidences” in life – that is the holy ghost helping and guiding us. How very thankful I am that our Heavenly Father is ever mindful of every single one of us!

I am a very blessed mother of 5 6 (that sixth child was a breeze!) beautiful children, and soon to be a gramma of a gorgeous baby girl!! I am so thankful for a loving, eternal companion. He is so very dear to me and possesses qualities that I only hope to emulate. Patient, loving, talented, adventurous, kind to everyone, soft spoken, determined, helpful, sweet, spiritual, and incredible. I am feeling particular thankful for all of the many blessings I enjoy! I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love how it has helped me raise loving, honest, sweet, friendly, service minded, creative children. I love how the gospel of Jesus Christ strengthens marriages, families, and brightens my eternal perspective! I am so very, very blessed.
