Thought for the week

I have lots to catch up on! My beautiful sister and her two gorgeous daughters came for Presidents Day weekend, as did sweet baby Ellie with her amazing parents Lex & Brian. Spencer played up north for State Basketball (they took 3rd in State!). Our many adventures traveling to and from games - from Wed when we drove up to getting home at 4am Sunday we drove a total of 26 hours. Seriously??

But instead of a quick catch up on the blog, I need to do a quick catch up on the house and laundry. So I thought I'd share a great quote / article I came across yesterday.

The quote from this article that I just L O V E D says -

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, said during his April 2012 general conference address:
“We are not perfect.
“The people around us are not perfect. People do things that annoy, disappoint, and anger. In this mortal life it will always be that way.
“Nevertheless, we must let go of our grievances. Part of the purpose of mortality is to learn how to let go of such things. That is the Lord’s way.
“Remember, heaven is filled with those who have this in common: They are forgiven. And they forgive”
I positively love this! How true it is that some days some people just seem to annoy us. Or the many times in life when people disappoint us. I do believe that part of our journey in life is truly to learn how to let go of such things!
The entire article is about a German pilot, who 40 years after WWII, contacted a woman who was the widow of a fighter pilot that he had shot down. He was calling her to ask her forgiveness.  You can read the article here. It's a good one!
Happy Monday! xoxoxoxoxoxox

I had such a great time! I'm sure I annoyed Jeremy being such a worried mom while caving, but he is full of forgiveness and I am so thankful for that! Thank you for another year of fabulous memories. I love you so much. xoxox
