Bountiful Baskets

I have a good friend who invited me to try out
Bountiful Baskets this week.
For $15 here is what I received:
5 lbs potatoes
1 celery bunch
1 large leafy head of romaine lettuce
1 bunch broccoli
4 large tomatoes
4 large artichokes
6 zucchini
1 pkg strawberries
3 lb bag of apples
2 bunches bananas
8 MANGOS!!
19 tangelos
I had heard of Bountiful Basktes before and checked it out on their website bountifulbaskets.org.
In a nutshell, on Monday afternoon the website opens up for ordering. I ordered the $15 fruit / vegetable basket. There were others items you could order ($8 for a CASE of strawberries), breads, etc. Each week these extra items vary that you can order.
On line you choose your pick up site and notice the time to pick it up. Ours pick up time was at 7:15am. Ya, I know, early, but sooo worth it! Bring a basket or box of some sort to bring home the goods!
When we arrived, we had to sign off our names on a list they had and then went to get our goods. They had them all arranged in baskets, I was assigned basket #47. (In this case it was two baskets full). Everything in those two baskets were mine!! I felt like a kid at Christmas!! It was so fun!!
After I got home, I added up the true cost of what I would have paid at the grocery store for all of these items. At the very least, it would have cost me $33. I paid $15.
There is nothing in the basket that we haven't had before and there are several things in there that I wouldn't have bought because of high price in the store (artichokes & mangos, which we love). The freshness and quality of the produce is amazing!
All in all, it was a great experience and you can count on me each week! It's a GREAT DEAL!!
PS This is available ALL throughout UTAH and ARIZONA :)
